Do you play as a boy or a girl in your vidya? What about MMOs?

I'm a guy so I play as a guy because it's more immersive.In fighting games, I'm more inclined to pick male characters as my first choice because they're cooler.It's subconscious thing. The same reason why girls prefer playing as female characters / have female characters as their first choice.

Other times, I find a cool cosmetic idea for one gender, like in Monster Hunter World when I found out the Radobaan beta helmet looked like a motorcycle helmet, so I mixed that with the Deviljho set to make a biker lady set. But I never RP as a girl because the first instances of guys RPing as girls was guys from high school making girl characters in Runescape to sucker money off of losers.
