I played a handful of these as a kid. owned 3d for the ps1, and then rented sarges heroes, air combat, and green rogue. Kinda want to revisit these someday, which ones held up best? sarge's heroes?

Army Men, Army Men II, Army Men Toys in Space, and Army Men Air Tactics art the only real army men games. All that sarges heros stuff was just trend chasing. They shouldn't even be considered the same game series. The original top down games were inspired.
My dad was in the army when these games came out so my dad got a kick out of playing these with us kids. In hindsight it's a little bit like grooming child soldiers though

Army Men RTS is the best. In the PS2 version, there's a PS2 in the living room campaign level that you can use to harvest unlimited electricity. I played through the Gamecube version to see if they had their own model, but they just get a cassette stereo.

This was the first RTS I ever played. A year or two ago, I decided to try and beat the game because I could never do it as a kid. The final level was comically hard.
