the player metrics don't really line up to how allegedly popular it is. compared to all of the other top games of 2025, the game it performed the most similar to is Hades 2.
Obviously it's a singleplayer game so you can't expect it to have a high player count so long after release, but out of E33, Hades 2, KCD2, Split Fiction, and Silksong, the only game that E33 performed better than is Hades 2. the rest of those games have higher peaks and concurrent players today.
That said, the game isn't bad, I beat it and enjoyed it, but discussion around the game is very forced on /v/.
