I understand why they do this. It's because they run polls, and a majority of (stupid) people always say they prefer 3D.Even so, they could literally have just put Origins and Legends in a compilation, and started work on a new game with this art.

One of Origin's and Legend's selling point was that they had crazy tech that could capture all their art in super HD where you could zoom in close enough to even see the brush strokes and pencil lines. It was literally drawings come to life. Why on earth they would throw it all away specially in a time where people want more 2D and hand drawn art is baffling. This AI art pushing shit makes zero sense in every stand point.

With the up close camera, that gives your character less view distance for enemies and what's your next move on the platform making the game slower. Also I never liked 3D.

Did you guys know they made a Rayman 30th anniversary edition? I litteraly had no idea until I stumbled on it on the Switch 2 weeks ago. I bought it because I buy/support all things (original) Rayman, and was pleasantly surprised it had the original composers new orchestrated score as its soundtrack (he was going to do a concert before he died, a lot of the music is up on YT). It also had the original Atari demo level. Nothing really worth playing, just cool for longtime fans like me. Definitely made it seem like somebody really does actually give a damn. I hope Redemption gave them some clarity that there is a fantasy strong enough to warrant some effort still.

Honestly, seeing it in motion, it doesn't look bad. David Gasman still sounds pitch perfect as Rayman, and the 3D sections looked sick. I just wish it wasn't Legends again and they didn't mention Origins so maybe that part was fake
