I played through both, my playthroughs were on GMGOW and mostly completionist. Fought all super bosses.
2018 is great.
Ragnarok's writing is mediocre and gets in the way constantly and the story is kinda dumb. Atreus segments are shit. It's still a fine game when it actually lets you play it. Valhalla DLC is great, no notes.

I don't love what they're doing with this game.
1. Resurrecting Fey is stupid. Two whole games about dealing with loss? Just wait till a bad enough writer resurrects all your loved ones again, lmao.
2. The tone is wrong. This feels like a GOTG game or Forspoken with the talking Ribbon and talking cube. Having this ADHD adventure take place right as Atreus and Kratos are mourning her death is madness. And I like the actual GOTG game mind you.
3. Going for multiple pantheons at once in the patented Wolverine and Deadpool Void seems like the setting will be all over the place.
4. Gameplay is probably going to be good, I liked it in both previous games. But having 2 minutes of combat in your 20 minute teaser isn't a good sign that the game will let you actually play it enough. Again, I had this issue with Ragnarok.
5. It doesn't have Kratos in it. My only other reference for them making other gameplay is fucking Atreus segments. And that shit sucked. Kratos' brutality adds a visceral element to combat that I'm not sure this woman could ever match. So while the mechanics might be there, I'm still worried about the feel of the game.

Ultimately I would probably be more lenient to the game if they had just picked Sigrun or Freya and more clearly cast this as a spinoff. As it stands I don't love what I saw.

This is the ~15th cycle of civilization on the planet, and in the past, similar religions to christianity also existed, and by similar i mean almost identical. If you look at christianity as a tool instead of a religion, you realize that it is a sensemaking and mapping tool for reality first and foremost.
Religions offer light where there is darkness, and if you think there is no darkness, you're either arrogant or ignorant. Protip to see the darkness:
a) pick up a writing instrument and realize it is exactly the name it is given, because it was created by humans
b) imagine a bear or any other wild animal or tree or insect and realize that it is not the name humans gave it because it wasn't created by humans, it was there before humans, in another form, so you don't actually know what it is, despite knowing its name. Now realize that everything else which has a name also is beyond understanding, and that you're in the dark, huddling against others for safety.
