The issue with this comparison is part 3 survivor Lara was deliberately "modernized". Her face was good but she was given a "realistic" fridge body. I do agree she looked great in pt 1 and especially Rise. But Shadow's body is the worst in the franchise by far.
I'm not completely cold on the new one but it is a factual move in the tight direction after Shadow. Plus it looks like they gave back her personality finally.
