How did gamers fall for this shitty bullshit ass typer of chair

Most gamers are third worlders who fall for anything garish.

People in general don't understand that comfort comes from good ergonomics and not from how many pillow are strapped to the chair. You basically want an expensive office chair actually designed for sitting in for 10+ hours.

Decent chairs are expensive af though

There are three things you don't skimp out on: mattress, shoes and tires. You should probably squeeze an office chair in as +1 these days.

Chairs without a headrest don't seem comfy to me. When gaming, I prefer a reclined lounging position. I also often sit crosslegged so I like a large possibly flat seat. Any chair recommendations for stuff like that?

>how
Gamers are fucking stupid but here’s the actual history

First off, go back to the mid 2000s. Remember the mini fad of ricer, tuner, JDM shit? Think fast and furious tokyo drift capitalizing/spreading the fad. Naturally, some companies popped up trying to make money on this fad.

There was a company called DXRacer (it already made custom car chairs) that overproduced bucket seats for the short lived fad. In order to offload literal warehouses of these things, they were mostly purchased/given to gaming cafes namely in k*rea and china. Wanna be esports fags would then replicate the familiar setup from their gaming cafes and bring them into their own home/gaming houses (remember the team house shit from broodwar era).

Then even more wanna be esports fags see their idol esports fags using these dumb car seats, so they adopt them. It gets associated with being a “pro gamer”, so then youtube -> streamer fags use them.

But yes, they were literally surplus car seats. Which is why they are car seats. And why using them over even a $25 office chair is stupid as fuck

>>
>>740172135
How so? I literally tried every chair in the store, and I wasn't going to buy a chair without sitting in it first.
The leather executive chairs were the most comfortable, but they were way beyond my budget. The high dollar Razer gaymer chair was the worst one, like a rock. I settled with the off-brand gaymer chair because it was comfy and cheap.
It's held up well for 2 or 3 years thus far, and I ended up getting it for free because they fucked up the delivery.
>>
>>740168573
Honestly, the Razer Isker is pretty fucking comfortable and lets me sit with good posture. I thought I'd never get a gaming chair but after trying out all of the normal office chairs at staples it ended up being the most comfortable one, I got it at a massive discount, and it works well for me. I legitimately can't fucking stand Razer as a company but that's the one product they make that I'll vouch for besides the hex naga.

There basically does not exist a chair that meets all of my autistic criteria. Not even the really expensive ones.
>Fold up armrests so I can push it under my desk
>Mesh back but only in the center of the backrest not the edges
>Large headrest but not one that sticks out just one that I can lean my head back on like pic related
>No Mesh or fabric seat because I sit like L in my chair sometimes and my dry ass feet tear holes in the material
>Absolutely no pleather what so ever
Pic related is what I have now and it meets most of that criteria except it doesn't have a mesh back and uses shitty pleather. If you could replace the part inside the red circle with a sturdy mesh, and change all the pleather to real leather it would be perfect.
And no, I will not sit normally in my chair fuck you.

I'm going to be real with you, what I did was I just bought a good looking chair with a strong back.

I had a friend who was a total Redditor (even though he didn't actually use the site).
He really thought these chairs were some kind of ultimate experience for sitting in front of a computer. Once he invited me to sit in one he paid a fortune for, and holy shit, it was terrible, but to him that piece of shit was genuinely amazing...
Then he moved in with his grandma because the old lady was living alone. She saw the damn chair and, thinking it was worthless junk, gave it to the garbage collector, LOL.
The guy came home from work and, when he found out what the old lady had done,he left her alone.
He bought another chair for his new home, but a year later he died of an infection.
As far as I know, no one wants the new chair... the garbage collector will probably end up with another one.
