Despite what they may think Drunkman is just a one trick dog, not some genius writer or anything like that. By 2000 and even early 2010 standards he is a dime a dozen. As for Insomaniac they did nothing all that good either. The artstyle of their Spiderman games is technically ok but completely lacks personality and feels very bland and the same is true for, well, everything else about those games. GoW was also pretty mediocre. Took a page from Cuckman´s book and did the same thing but Kratos, wow... how unique. What does that leave? Horizon? That´s like a nothing burger too. Can´t say there is anything special about that game.My point is, those games are kind of alright if you have nothing else to play i guess but not a single one of them is a console seller and you know, with Playstation become so aggressively anti consumer in recent years you really need console sellers, i´m talking about games that you absolutely can´t do without and can´t play anywhere else. Right now a playstation console would need 10 or 15 games like that to be worth anyone´s time. They have none. Not even one.

Sony's two big reveals during their "State of Play," Wolverine and Girl of War, were the same exact shit they've been making over and over for the past decade. The gameplay is stale, the stories are cheesy oscarbait, the writers are preachy, the characters are unlikable. Their audience is so obviously tired of this shit and god only knows what it's going to take to light a real fire under their asses.
