I miss the hype for Brawl. I don't even care about SSB but /v/ going crazy over every daily update was the most fun this place ever was.

I wish smash had more single/co-op player content. Bring back SSE, event mode, have a co-op arcade mode, bring back smash run, board the platforms, break the targets, race to the finish, and smash tour.

Do people actually find SSE fun? The cutscenes and theming is cool, but it feels worse than a Kirby game. Best Smash content were the first two games, with 64 having the best classic mode and Melee having best stadium mode, event modes, and arguably adventure mode. A shame about the c-stick though.
The gameplay was absolute shit but other than that it was a great game

The deeper you go under Brawl's hood, the more you realize it's a really, really fucked game. Bamco did a terrible job vs HAL, and the first two titles have their fair share of bugs. So much of the game just doesn't function well ontop of the balance being terrible. People rosetint because despite Brawl's casualization, it still had a ton of pieces which rewarded player skill/expression which the series would continue to tamp down on as the series progressed.
