It would be such an awesome breath of fresh air to have a new Gears game with modern presentation that has that almost horror-like feeling of existential desperation like the early Gears games did, and the idea of playing a game set during the chaos of E-Day when the shit is hitting the fan, and there's no female Gears or even wisecracking Baird or hooting Cole to lighten the mood would be kind of refreshing. Basically a whole game with a tone of the first third or so of Gears 1, but on a grander scale. I'm predicting that Halo Campaign Evolved gets shadow dropped like Oblivion to make way for E-Day coming in the fall.
