I just started my second playthrough on a fresh file. With veteran mode on (minus the price modifier to allow feats). And it's unbelievable how fun this game actually is! It's way above my expectations. I'm speeding through the game now, but with my prior knowledge of my first playthrough, the world is my oyster and it's real fun to use the game's satisfying movement to great effect alongside the tricks I learned. And trying to map out path progressions that I imagine would be effective or interesting using said prior knowledge. It's like starting a fresh playthrough of Dark Souls 1. But in a speedier type of action game.
I have never seen a game as astroturfed as this. It's honestly insane. I guess this is the power of AI just able to spam an infinite amount of internet discussion about things nobody is talking about.

I don't see myself having a file dedicated to a silly playthrough.I'm on New Game+ at the moment myself and just beat the Crypt boss no problem, even with enemies hitting harder. Seeing what exactly changes, if anything. If it's just enemies having more health and doing more damage, and that will slowly get nullified with increased level ups, what's the point?

I didn't expect to like Lionel as much as I did. Even though I was at the very end of the game, I did not actually expect the kraken to be Lionel. That caught me off guard. But I respect it a lot. But am I wrong. Or is it implied that Lionel genuinely could "tame" Spark using his plasma vials? Maybe one could intuitively distrust the plasma vials, but they really seemed to be a rather solid piece piece of innovation and genuinely seemed to protect Mina throughout her journey. Shielding her from Spark side-effects, without seemingly inflicting side-effects of its own onto her. And though it could turn people into monsters, it could also restore people's original forms. Seemed like it might have worked rather well. So the big problem is more that Lionel, in spite of all this. And in spite of all the actual and genuine good that spark and the vials could do. It's more the case that he is kind of an unironic tyrant as well and severely selective with how he shares said blessings? While extorting people and having everything be his way or no way, while being more than willing to step on people along the way? Or something? Like I got big mafia boss vibes from him. It's weird that the spider trinket is placed so late in the game considering by that point you're almost certainly going to already have plenty of reliable ways to cross tile gaps. Are there any creative use cases I may be overlooking?

>>740216961I think part of it as another anon pointed out is that those ledges are usually used to delineate a hard boundary whereas the ones that look like a row of teeth are often shown to be more accessible, including in that same area. I can't remember any other specific locations in the game where you need to springboard over one of these, the closest that comes to mind is the Gravity Zone in the Orrery where you use the black holes to bypass these ledges, but that's made much clearer.
