My rig is win 7.
It outputs a 240p/480i signal.
I have 2 27" CRT's. A trinitron and a flatron.
They run via component transcoder and the image is absolutely razor sharp.
I sometimes use NTSC composite shaders, just for nostalgia and sometimes it just looks better.
It's completely offline so i don't have to update it, there are no ads, popups, notifications etc.
It exclusively runs emulators from generation 2 to 6 inclusive (and sometimes wii), plus arcade.

New releases are almost never worth playing.

Take the emulation pill.

Same will happen on a larger scale when games no longer work on x86/x64 on order to herd everyone to ARM, especially after everyone's builds start failing.
Then things are gonna get real wild in the pc gaming scene. Times a ticking for the master race unfortunately.

WMR headsets have more support on Linux than on newer Windows versions even if their support on Linux is shit, since at least it isn't outright blocked from working by the OS. Maybe someone is working on 1man hobby drivers on Windows lmao.
PSVR1 has support, there are even some DIY projects that use the drivers from that for their glowy pingpong ball tracking.
PSVR2 has support, but you need to sync with controllers from a different ecosystem like SteamVR apparently.
