They managed to get a decent amount of outside talent for the art and short stories. Kiyoshi Shigematsu and Takehiko Inoue are pretty far from hacks. Unfortunately the gameplay is dogshit JRPG so all that amazing art and writing is totally wasted. /v/ could never like this game because it has too much reading and has a woke brown woman save the world at the end.
