They definitely learned their lesson about making the identity way too hard for the player to discern by themselves. There are so many factors to consider, and Adachi kinda falls to the wayside for a good majority of the game.

It's a throwaway line that gets brought up at the beginning of the conversation, and then like 5 minutes later gets brought up by a character you're just now meeting, so I imagine a lot of players just plum forgot who said what.
