I don't care so much about the "diversity" of the team rather than good story telling and aesthetically pleasing characters. Western game developers are so focused on "realism" with regards to characters, that they forget I can go outside and see ugly people all day. I mostly play Japanese games and still I enjoyed Expedition 33; it was one of my favorite games of 2025. But I feel that I made a mistake buying the game because I can't help but feel that I helped the side of the gaming community that abhors Japanese games, which make up big bulk of the videogames I like. If I had knew I would have at least pirated it.
