Nah, governments are behind the curve and stumbling around trying to decide if they should be regulating or pushing AI and getting the same marketing bs about 70% worker automation and shit fed to them as random businesses, just on a larger scale.
The AI boom is very heavily corporate and venture capital based, we're well past the times when the Pentagon or whoever had a bunch of secret tech ahead of private industry, at least in computing/AI. They have to buy their hardware from Nvidia and SKHynix/Samsung etc same as everyone else.
