Bought a normal mic, pop filter and articulated arm I put on the side of my desk and when I play games that requires voice chat it takes 2 seconds to get the thing in front of my mouth.Cost me 60 bucks in a bundle like 8 years ago

"Gaming" hardware is generally a ripoff because they often use sub-par components and package them for a big markup. Many times it's rebranded chinkshit, so what's being sold to you for $100 is usually some $25 headset from Temu/Aliexpress with a custom sticker on it.Instead of buying that $100 "gaming headset". Buy an $80 pair of headphones and a $20 mic or something. On top of probably providing better quality and comfort overall, they're decoupled so you don't have to throw the whole thing out if one part breaks.
