I knew destiny was finished when they didn't learn anything from d1 in d2, d1 and d2 both had underwhelming unfinished vanilla, absolute dogshit 1st dlc, okay 2nd dlcs(but no where near enough to correct course), and then they finally had to put on their big boy pants and make an actual good expansion(though taken king clears forsaken by a country mile)

I think Destiny was a decently good time for the 40 hours I put into it. I actually had a lot of fun. Started the game, did the story, did a tiny amount of endgame farming and the put it away with it leaving a good impression on me. But I think that's where a point of contention is here, I stopped playing before 50 hours. I didn't sink 200+ hours into this.

You are only "endgame" for a limited amount of time before the next power creep hits, or the next reset happens. >>740265619You are absolutely going to need Star Wars to have the best gear, at least right now. They are shaking up the loot pool and adding lots of archived raid/planetary weapons to it. You can get decent stuff running portal activities if you were to play today, but again, your progress is severely hindered at a point where you're going to need to play with New Gear and grind out stuff daily. Lawless Frontier (Gambit replacement, didn't work out, Gambit is coming back) is where you go for the best drops atm but honestly you have so much story content to catch up on with EoF I would just chow down on that for now or wait until June 9th as most of your gear no longer 'works' with the new stat distribution system and you'll need to hunt down replacements. They usually discount all of the game's passes and expacs around the middle of the year as well, so, keep an eye out for that.
i would log on again at some point just to play stasis warlock with Verglas, love that shit. but not any time soon.plus it looks like armor is minmax'd into different categories now, which is nice. wasted too much time farming on the crappy old system and needing DIM to pick my gear.

I don't really understand how they "vaulted" content. Like did the stuff they get rid of have nothing to do with the main story for future content? Or did they remove story missions that are critical to the overall game's story? I don't understand how this is even possible.

All I remember from destiny 2 is titan being retardedly op compared to hunter or warlock. You could sprint around and charge up your melee and it would just aimbot people. It was so bad that you could kill people through walls since the clipping was so generous. Even worse it was a fucking 1 shot too.

I played up to europa and had a lot of fun with the game, i really liked the art style and a ton of the areas look way better than they should for how old the engine is. Really hope the people that actually “worked” on the game keep making cool stuff. A shame the upper management got rich by fucking over the players, staff and sony - i wish them nothing but the worst.
