I played a bit of this with the revival late last year. Gamigo waited until the initial crowd left before implementing the XP lock -- so people could experience and raid lower level original 'vanilla' content. I came back and played but the redditfags who ran the guild hyperfocus'd on one Euro-timezone raid group and shunned any attempts to get other groups going.

Then the game came out and actually it was just respawning orbs with drop chance for rare items in easy to get locations, so it was just dailies instead of exploration. Outside of that I would say game was still shit because I never reached max level

Rift on release was so great. Everybody trying to figure out the Rifts. Giant riftrs everywhere, invasions everywhere. Great times.

I never witnessed another cool moment like that ever again, all the invasions were piss easy to defend against and eventually people didn't even bother doing them because the loot sucked.

Man Rift was such a fun game at it's peak. I miss this shit.
