I'm not one of those nu-Cuck of War fags, I never even played of GoW game in my life, but the storytelling and cinematography in this trailer is genuinely ass.Everything feels rushed, there's no time for the viewer to take in the atmosphere and think about anything beyond the current event happening. Laufey's dialog is especially drab because she never says anything interesting beyond reacting to events and her trying to figure things out. It ends up leaving everything feeling "trope-y" and cliche.>Laufey is the strong heroic protagonist who does strong heroic protagonist things.>Jelly cube and sword and the comedic duo.>Young male is the adventurous but immature ally to Laufey that may or may not team up with her in service of his own goals>Red Oni is the brute that has the hots for Sekhmet (and potentially Laufey from what the cutscene shows).>Sekhmet is the manipulative schemer who speaks slow and vague in place of wisdom and POTENTIALLY having a deep character.>Not even the fucking goons get anything beyond just being things for Laufey to curbstomp or get abused by. They don't even get a face to humanize.I know I'm being omega cynical but if the trailer was procured to get people to buy the game then it did a poor job of doing anything interesting beyond a vague mystery and the spectacle of seeing multiple mythologies fighting eachother.

The one long camera shot gimmick they have is genuinely fucking terrible and makes the pacing of these games so dogshit. Since there are no jumps or cuts, its all just one continuous flowing narrative. Which sounds cool on paper, but in reality it means that everything needs to be "shrunk" to fit into the story, everything happens "around the corner" and its totally ass, ironically makes it feel more artificial and "video gamey"
