Like an oasis in a desert, lets have a comfy thread talking about our comfiest JRPGs. Have you played anything comfy lately?
Not really, I keep trying to start a bunch of old emulated games but I never properly continue them
>>740250905Have you tried looking into any romhacks to spice them up?
Started Silmeria and so far i'm blown away by the game's presentation. Really seems like TriAce wanted to go all out and make a game in the scope of ff or the big hitters (although they had become a part of SE by then ironically enough). I'm still pretty early but i look forward for more. Lenneth is one of my absolute favorites jrpgs for the psx. The combat is also really cool, an interesting twist on the classic juggle combo adding a new layer of dimension. So far, i have a strongly possitive opinion.
>>740251008I've tried some pokehacks, but the pokemon formula is too old for me
Playing FFVIt's fun
I'm finally stopping seething about Trails Beyond the Horizon after 4 months (last game I finished in general actually, not just JRPGs), then I might check out Elliot
>>740250827I'm trying to make my own Etrian Odyssey clone, gonna take years but I'm enjoying the process at the moment.
>>740252952You mean a wizardry clone?
>>740250827its my favorite genre but ive come to accept that 90% of them at least are generic slop not worth playing and Ive basically played every game thats worthwhile at this point.
>>740251330I too, enjoyed silmeria for the first few hours.
