It doesn't make me seethe though. It was the first video game I ever played. I would play it religiously. I know the entire game like the back of my hand. I would never play it again though. Whenever I hear about someone experiencing it for the first time I roll my eyes. *sip* that was a good game.

But why does it make me seethe? Because I wish it wasn't. I fucking loved LoZ growing up, and it's so sad to see how destitute it has been for over 20 years now. Even the 2D/Handheld titles are so fucking stupid I would kill for a remake of Phantom Hourglass that utilized Switch 2's mouse controls. That's how desperate I am. I WANT the series to be great, but its been convinced that it is for so long that I think it's lost in its own ego, or up its own ass. I don't think there's any coming back... Not in my lifetime anyway.

I still like it after all this years but time hssn't been gentle to it. It's a decent game and worth of owning if anyone decides to get into N64 but it's not a top 10 game of all time

Not with any gay glitches or speedrunning randomizer autism, just a regular quick playthrough on specially shitty days. You can 100% the game in like 4 hours without putting much thought into it at all. I only ever do it like once every 3 or so years though.
