Franchise sale on Steam starts today and there are similar sales running on PS and Xbox. They usually do this when they are announcing a new game.

So yeah CODE Veronica remake is basically confirmed to be shown tomorrow!! I cant wait for the next gen Claire RTX sweat system!!
>>
They need to fucking chill with RE, its milked harder than CoD at this point

As long as the games keep being good theres no problem. Releases that take 5-8 years shouldnt be seen as normal. In the late 90s and early 2000s, annual releases or releases every two years were really common for most developers. Capcom are a big enough studio with enough teams that they have worked out a system where they can have 4+ Resident Evil games in simultaneous development at any moment. Even with that schedule there will still be gaps like the gap we got between RE4R and RE9.

They will start diverting some of those resources towards IPs like Dino Crisis soon since fan demand for IPs like that is rising and after RE0 remake they will only really have RE5R and RE1R left before having to take on riskier projects like a Dead Aim or Survivor remake

Why is it showcasing 2 remake and 4 original? Why not both original or both remake?
>>
>>740259817
No
Fuck people like you
7-8 year development hell is cancer, we need to go back to yearly releases
>>
>>740260476
2-4 year releases is the sweet spot.
>>
>>740260569
>4
Absolutely fucking not, not for a series that makes 9 hour linear games.
2 years is the max
>>
>>740260665
4 would be on the long end, for a game that's not necessarily a direct follow-up but a big leap that does something different. 2 years is for a direct sequel follow-up.
>9 hour linear games
Completely irrelevant. If a game is good then it's good, if a game is shit then it's shit.

It's come-and-gone in semi-annual waves since its inception. This is nothing new, and if you don't like it, you're welcome not to engage with it.
