You guys had enough time to play the game by now, what's the verdict?
>>740266170forgettable with dog shit world building
>>740266170Utter kino. GOTY 2026.
I'll be onto this next, but fuck anyone that ever mentioned esoteric ebb. what an unholy garbage dump of a game.
>>740266170Eh. I finished the initial scene, and have no desire to play more. The health system is good. That's all I can say
>>740266170>I'VE GOT THIS!
>trannie commie shitno thanks
>>740266170I've liked it. A lot of loose threads, a lot of ambiguity that is a bit too esoteric for my taste, but the cynicism of an espionage plot is pretty solid. The resolution is just excellent. You can literally picture some Smiley-ass cabinet from John le Carre novels playing into La Luz's hands and sending two operatives to become patsies for a set up assassination because it would look good on the board and would show that Opera is doing something in the news. Everyone is so bored of the stagnated cold war it seems, they just need a reason to start blasting shit up.
Disco elysium and esoteric ebb were better than this game regardless of what the guy further up in the thread says. But Zero parades isn't as bad is some make it out to be desu.
Still playing it, wish there were production value upgrades with more character animation matching the text, but I find the story as interesting as DE at least
>>740266170I'm a DnD nerd so Esoteric Ebb was my first pick for more Disco Elysium, especially because it was on sale. I enjoyed it a lot more than Disco Elysium because of the fantasy theming and being a little more campy and funny.
its one of those games that everyone should play, at least if they enjoyed other narrative rpgs at allThe writing is really good, lots of unique characters. Holocene is a standout one, and silhouette perhaps.
>>740266170Is the protagonist as interesting as Harry?
>>740267345What's wrong with Ebb? I loved it.
>>740266170>what's the verdict? The verdict is:Estonian Investor screwed over the Disco Elysium fanbase by cancelling the Cuno Spinoff sequel and firing Robert Kurvitz without even allowing Kurvitz to keep his 30 year old world design/Elysium world like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross communist-unfriendly practices.
>>740266170My favorite game of the year, easily. I've not finished it yet but so far I'd say that compared with Disco Elysium, the premise of the plot is better (I much prefer spy stories over what's initially a cop murder investigation), the characters and skills are worse (not bad, just neither are as memorable outside of Shadowplay and Instincts for skills) but the actual setting is *much* better. Say what you will about DE, by the end of the game I barely knew the bare minimum about Martinaise and Jamrock, and that's it. All that info about Revachol as a whole, all the different political factions, the revolution and shit? It read like what it was: a whoooooole lot of exposition fed to me because the devs had this DnD world in their mind for 10 years and didn't quite know how to put the lore out there. Zero Parades I feel teaches you about the world much more naturally, about Portofiro and the Superbloc and especially about La Luz and all their techno-fascist goings on either on the moon or on the rest of this world. Ten hours into ZP I know more about the setting than 35 hours into DE.
Ludo is kino They never needed Kurvitz
Reminder to download https://files.catbox.moe/7uihez.zip and use it with https://www.nexusmods.com/zeroparadesfordeadspies/mods/1 if you want Cascade's red coat from the game's cover.
I liked it.
>>740274653You need a mod to give her a red coat?
>>740274372> Zero Parades I feel teaches you about the world much more naturally,I've never played a game before where everything is politics, you swade through one politically colored scene to another. The goodies are there because commie vs technofascist policy war.The port city exist because politics, its some penal colony that was liberated. The port is used for political intrigue with other country trying to win cultural victory by flooding it with goods. The people living inside are facilitators of the politial struggle, they smuggle the political goods, or consume them and are influenced by them. The rocket area is a disposed political group trying to accomplish magic connection to aliens or something.People make clothes that aren't part of some political group.People yearn for the old days when politics were better. That building you visit to listen to ghost? It was a political center where the old leader used to be.Oh no you're friend was killed by the secret police of the other political group.People are fleeing the one political group to a different place with more freedomz and you gotta help them, but only one. The dickwolves get the other.
>>740275778The coat in-game looks like >>740269096, unfortunately.
>>740276235I mean, that's not an uncool coat but the red is definitely more striking.
>>740276589its hard to find a character 3d model who isnt wearing something truly fuglythe art direction is "clown" 50% of the time
>>740267509I see kaleidoscope in the corner there, which means you did a nasty thing to V, you monster!
>>740274070Wasn't fully voice acted so anon is butthurt he's required to read.
>>740277330Wait, there are people that sit there for the NPCs to completely talk through their dialogue before picking an option? I can't imagine just sitting there rather than reading it myself.
>>740266170Pretty kino altho all over the place altogether, I got what I would say was the nigh-on best ending possible for the mission with Pseudopod, Holocene and Kaleidoscope all of whom were easily my favorite characters in the gameI wish the game did have some sort of time limit, I did basically all the side stuff that I wasnt locked out from so I don't really feel the desire to replay. Doesn't help that I feel the first ~6 hours are garbage and that playing as a red or purple cascade wouldn't feel that much different other than all the poetics checks I failed
>>740266170not giving my money to the kikes that stole disco elysium from the people who actually created it. kill yourself shill
>>740278362did you know that a companys shareholders are not legally married to an emplyee for the rest of their natural life and can fire an employee at will
>>740278362>WAAAAAA I WANT KURVITZ BACK ONLY HE IS ALLOWED TO STEAL PLOT IDEAS FROM CHINA MIEVELLE BOOKSgamer moment
