What happen to Guilliman most pure and stable gene seed?
>>740278402Not all Geneseed turn the aspirant into a clone of their primarch and even the ones that do have certain degree likeness. "Little Horus" Aximand was unusually like Horus so we can guess that looking like Horus isn't a common thing in the Luna Wolves. The gene seeds that actually make you look like the primarch are the ones belong to the Alpha Legion.
>>740278402Geneseed doesn't inherently make a Marine look like their Primarch. It may have some influence, but that's usually due to mutations in the first place.>>740278583Not even Alpha Legion had it as a common thing, Marines were made to look like Alpharius using surgeries and psycho-indoctrination.
>>740278583>looking like Horus isn't a common thing in the Luna WolvesWord Bearers.
>>740278402I think you misunderstand what geneseed is.
>>740278583the ones who ridiculously resembled their primarch were emperor's children, but their gene seed was fucked up so much they almost died out
>>740278583So this is why every Salamander always comes out coal black regardless of their original race but you can have black Space Wolves from the (formerly) Nordic themed planet of Fenris?
>>740279050>So this is why every Salamander always comes out coal black regardless of their original raceThat is due to a mutation of the geneseed, the Melanochrome. It was designed to turn the skin darken to combat radiation but the Salamander version is broken and become hyperactive especially when combine with Norture high radiation level. >black Space Wolves from the (formerly) Nordic themed planet of FenrisPeople living in the cold climate can have dark skin too like the Eskimo. People in colder climate have lighter skin to get more Vitamin D but people with a diet consist of a lot of Vitamin D don't need to develop lighter skin. Not to mention ice also reflect a lot of ultraviolet. Lastly, Fenrir is a big planet.
>>740279050technically most chapters also only recruit from their home world. salamanders are one of those cases where it's either/or due to their geneseed, circumstances on the world itself, etc.
>>740279351So by this logic, having a snowy white Salamander wouldn't be out of place, just incredibly rare. Got it.
>>740279050You don't know what the fuck you're talking about
>>740279383I always find it funny Salamanders got turned into designated "blacks in space" when in reality there's a goddamn African tribe chapter out there.
>>740278402you're under the misapprehension that space marines are clonesthey aren't. they recruit real people - yes, that includes bl*cks - and then shove a geneseed into themeven this is only setting the stage. they still need multiple surgeries to put in all the new organs and skeletal parts and shit. the gene helps them survive all the procedures, it does not itself create a space marine
>>740279450No, the reason why Salamander skin turn black is due to their geneseed. Once they become a marine, their skin turn black. Meanwhile the Space Wolves geneseed doesn't affect skin color, they just turn people into werewolves.
>>740278402People will jump through all kinds of mental hoops to find an in-lore justification, but the real and most obvious answer is that GW is on their DEI inclusivity arc.
>>740279050>but you can have black Space Wolves from the (formerly) Nordic themed planet of Fenris? It's an entire planet you sperg not a country
>>740279737>is that GW is on their DEI inclusivity arcYou mean since Rogue Trader when Sisters were just lady Marines and they could kill Ultramarines with ease?
