There needs to be a reason for that, hence why most fantasy worlds generally tend to have monarchies and republics where its personal merit that helps you climb up the ladder depending on cultural flavor of the location. Is it too much to ask for to include the fact that toilets exist in your setting and that castles are for war and not mansion houses for the rich purely?
