Turning Bane into a bigfig left them a couple options for a joke.Either have Bane go through the whole scene as a normal sized minifig right up until they take the bag off his head, then he suddenly barely fits in the plane and weighs it down. Or he could have been a bigfig the whole time, and they'd somehow miss that it was him even though they struggle to get him in the plane at all.At least we did get one Baneposting reference. He says "That's extremely painful... For me." when you hit his weak spot.

He was a completely brand new character that was essentially forced on them because Knightfall was popular. So they said fuck it, did the obvious, and made him a parable about substance abuse, then used him as little as they could get away with because they were sure he was going to fade into obscurity as a version of Doomsday that fit into Batman's world.

I personally think it's an improvement, gameplay-wise, to have only a handful of characters who all do unique things. But there was always something fun about unlocking a billion Scrimblo Bimblo characters no one's ever heard of. Lego Batman 3 was the way I learned about the other Lantern Corps, for example. And being a huge fan of the Duck Dodgers cartoon, it was fun to see the Green Loontern in that game. But we'll never have an experience like that again if this is the format TT's Lego games take going forward, which is a shame.

He's always been an insanely smart conniving villain in the comics, his willpower, tenacity and ruthlessness made him one of Batman's greatest villains. But he's always portrayed as a retarded musclebound jock who gets defeated the same way every time; by his stupid tubes or whatever is supplying venom to him getting tangled up or cut. In the comics I don't think he's ever been defeated that way, the venom is just a tool he uses sparingly and he's strong enough to beat Batman most of the time without it. He just uses it as a last resort and cutting his tubes doesn't automatically defeat him, it doesn't even hurt him. Nolan has probably never read a Batman comic in his life and thought that Bane was a big dumb retard which is why he redesigned the entire character for his shitty movie, and I don't blame him.
