Name your favorite gamesPicrel is for me
>>740284440I'm bumping your thread because I know about this game but I have not played it myself
Pic related is probably my favorite one>>740284869NTA but it's basically a Monty Peyton videogame, pretty good sense of humor and funny guns too.
>>740284440Was kind crazy to learn years later that this game was basically just MDK on better hardware. >>740284869It looks half finished in a lot of places and the gameplay is at best serviceable, but the writing is top notch.
>>740284440MechAssault 2 for me, with an honorable mention for Crimson Skies. Set the bar for what a multiplayer community should act like. People self organized teams, would check that people were wearing mics, and kick underages if nobody could vouch for them. It was the kind of shit that's impossible to do now in this modern hellscape of automated matchmaking.
A fun game about being a lab animal pair determined to escape said labs.... and destroy the company in the process
anyone got advice for emulating these old titles?
>>740287169Xemu for the emulation. Search the internet archives for bios and stuff. Xbox original emulation is pretty limited compared to RPCS3 and PCSX2, or even Xenia. If it works, congratulations. If it doesn't, then nothing to do about it
>>740287348if they have a ps2 version, is it worth going for emulation on that instead?I got some exclusives I will need to see if I can run through xbox... but now I want to play and want something fast
>>740287384Sometimes yes, a lot of times no. Sometimes, the PS2 version is better in terms of graphics and designs, but the general verdict was that the Xbox version had better ports since the hardware was more powerful. If the Xbox version doesn't work, shoot for the PS2 one. The gameplay on both should mostly be the same
>>740287169Some of them have PC releases, if you're okay with laying on kb/m
>>740284440My favorite is still jsrf. The music was really influential for me and the art style is still great.
>>740284440Halo 2 and Burnout 3
>>740284440Loved Armed and Dangerous but Gladius is dope too.
RTCW, staple of pc gaymen, has its definitive edition locked to console
>>740288191nah I want >>740285437xemu says it has some problems that (to me) look annoying, so I am going to look at the PS2, even though the colors and stuff will be a bit more muted (sadly)

Star Wars Obi Wan
Gentlemen, PCSX2 and Whiplash are running good so far.Got it working with the new steam controller as well.Had to wait to test the joysticks but it seems to be working great in "lizard mode"
