i love mine. i had the switch OLED before it and i can never go back. everything feels smoother and faster and more snappy.

I own DK Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, Yoshi MB, Hyrule Warriors AoI, and Pokemon Legends ZA and Pokopia as Switch 2 titles. Yoshi and Bananza are the best exclusives on the system by far. Kirby Air Riders is really great but it just loses it's legs after a while. I have a ton of Switch 1 games and most of the Switch 2 upgrades are very nice, especially for Xenoblade X thank god.

I will never ever buy a game key card. I have my Piss5 for multiplats. The only exception will be if they announce the Kingdom Hearts collection on the upcoming direct so I can quadruple dip on that.

I've gotten my money's worth and more. I missed a few key titles on S1 and definitely enjoyed them more than expected. Most notable IMO is handheld mode - I fucking hated playing handheld with the original but now a ton of my gameplay has been undocked. It's a nicer product overall. It's been a good start for me. Splatoon 3 on it is silky smooth. Pokopia is everything I wanted and more, I've got all the habitats and Pokemon and I'm still just customizing my areas how I like. Bananza's movement and exploration were likewise enjoyable. Because I got it in March, having MKW be a change of pace game between Bananza and Pokopia is perfect. Just nibbling away at the open world and knockout tour for 15-20 minutes at a time. Still need to pick up Yoshi, which looks like the most interesting Yoshi in years. Never played MP1-3, so the miss on MP4 doesn't affect me at all.
I'm looking forward to the second year just as much. New Rhythm Heaven has been on my wishlist for years. FE3H is one of my favorites in the series so Fortune's Weave can't come soon enough. Splatoon Raiders featuring Deep Cut was a huge bonus for me. Need to see more on Pokemon and what else is coming down the pike, but a much better year 1 than the Wii U, and on par with the Switch for me.

Banter: I own every Nintendo console (some multiple times) and Switch 2 is the first I have skipped. Zero interest. 3DS launch was rockier but that lack of games at the start was an opportunity to try a lot of games I never would have tried.

Experience: Switch 2 eShop doesn't have the same feeling. Technically it's very out of date to modern stores. It's actually, the same as PC or Playstation at the moment where it is filled to the brim with AI slop and shovelware. There is a lot of stuff in the middle that gets missed because more often than not it seems like you will only see big titles from big publishers or said shovelware.

Real talk: the most common complaint I hear from game dev colleagues (live service) is that the game patching validation time for Nintendo is a horrid drawn out process. It actually dissuades a lot of people from developing for Switch especially where a studio executive says lets go full multiplatform support and then dev teams struggle to update the game simultaneously across all platforms because Nintendo lags behind them all. Sony also has a long validation time so it must be a Japanese thing. You can pick the forum of any live service game and see the Nintendo audience always asking when the update will land for Switch etc. Either way it's like a CAB where everyone throws a meaningless approval and the consumer doesn't see the quality of it anyway.

Had mine since launch day. Had a bit of fun with it but overall its been really disappointing. Mario Kart's open world gimmick is just so fucking poorly executed I almost cant believe it. And the fact they literally wont let you avoid it is just a slap in the face.
Bananza was fun but i beat it in a weekend and then sold it. Not as good as a 3D Mario. Ill never play it again. Its DLC is rogue like garbage. Pathetic.

Mario Tennis has great mechanics but the single player was a joke and I felt ripped off.

I hope they release something really, really good soon. Vast majority of their software lineup has felt like filler content, and, yeah, its been disappointing. I assume you have a regular LED TV, even if it supports HDR, it will look like crap, because with regular LED TVs that support HDR they often just crank up the brightness and call it a day, but the darks are still botched due to the backlight and the image ends up looking bad as a result, the key to HDR is contrast, not cranking up the brightness to 1000 Suns.

The best thing I can say about it is that I can use it as a Switch Pro if I want to.
Can't wait for Splatoon Raiders and Rhythm Heaven Groove (even if that's a Switch 1 game) coming soon. Just want to know more about Fortune's Weave and I'm cautiously optimistic about Pokemon Winds and Waves.

I like mine a lot, but mostly as an upgradae to my Switch. Bananza, Air Riders, Pokopia, Mario Kart/Tennis, Yoshi and Age of Imprisonment are all fun, but it currently lacks the kind of absurdly good lineup that the Switch got in its first year from Zelda, Mario, Splatoon, and Xenoblade. I think they were banking on Prime 4 being received a whole lot better, and on people caring more about Switch 2 edition upgrades than they do. Fire Emblem, Splatoon Raiders, and even Wind and Waves look cool, but the upcoming lineup of exclusives still feels kind of sparse, probably because of the added devtime. I'm glad that Nintendo seems to be putting out smaller games like Tomodachi Life or Ryhthm Heaven again to help with that, even if those are Switch 1 titles and Tomodachi Life took like half a decade or some nonsense.
