Why does anything SG-1 just make me sad? I'm watching it with my wife finally after only seeing scattered episodes on live TV over 20+ years ago knowing nothing about it. We're about to finish season 4 and love it but watching it through the lens of 2026 and knowing the fates of people and the show itself makes me depressed for some strange reason. I guess good things can't last forever.

Like the other anon said, SG-1 really did get the "best timeline" for a scifi TV series. It's amazing it ran for as long as it did. Especially when you compare it to Atlantis.
