XVI is promising all the way up to the first major time skip (not speaking about the prologue, but the one later on), then it starts to choke and the end is rather meh aside from couple of great moments.Not quite as rushed sloppa as XV was, but you can see when the plot advancement get muddled down by more and more of filler between important stuff, and some major late game story events just kind of happen with less buildup than you’d expect.
