How come every first party sony sequel is the same?
They're all basically just the first game but with a new combat gimmick added and a much worse story.
>>
Because their strategy this gen is to put out as many expensive live service slops as possible until at least one finds success. That means the singleplayer slops have to be as safe as possible to turn a profit.
>>
that's like almost all video game sequels. why you ask? because people wanted more of it so it makes money for the company
>>
Because unless you're Rockstar with 10 000 devs and a literal billion dollar budget AAA games can't evolve anymore, it's a design dead end. These games all feel the same and look the same because graphics can't get much prettier and they can't take risks with the gameplay because it needs to appeal to a wide as audience as possible

>Halo
>gears of War
>Breath of the Wild
>OoT
>every 2d metroid
>every mainline pokemon game

To name a few other first party titles from other developers that fall under your criteria. But yeah, let's pretend Sony is the only one who does it.
