It's been non-stop played for 15 years to such a degree people just casually compare it to modern games and complain if it falls short forgetting that it was a game that had to come out for a piece of 2006 hardware with 256mb of RAM. The fact it can be compared, at all, with modern releases should be a positive; but normie discussions flooding the internet, them not considering the game was made for seventh gen when talking about it, and Bethesda's awful modern reputation due to the likes of Starfield, Fallout 76 or even Fallout 4, makes people underestimate the game's strengths.
