So how good is No Rest for the Wicked? Is it fun solo, how hard is it and how long is the actual game?
>>740297991Bump
It's one of the most technological and good looking games on the market, basically a fusion of dark souls 1 game world (interconnected to fuck and back, very vertcal, tons of unlockable shortcuts), diablo loot but with nearly every weapon having unique moveset and some palpable Vagrant Story DNA (game director keeps bringing Yasumi Matsuno when talking about stuff so it's probably not a coincidence)It's a solo game first and foremost, there's like 10-15 hours of content in EA and apparently they will triple it in the full release. The biggest issues are>survivalshit elements, you need to cook food in order to heal>a housing system for some reason>time-gated, mobile-game tier city upgrade system that needs resources from the overworld in order to craft thingsStill a solid game thus far. Artistically and aesthetically it's an absolute top tier, probably the most gorgeous dark fantasy i've seen in years. Gameplay is solid.
>>740299153They got rid of the time gating on the city upgrades. Now it is just gated by the resources you have access to. >>740297991Biggest issue is that right now it is hyper specialized for builds. Once you start investing in a stat you are locked to an extremely narrow range of weapon and shield options unless you respec. Respecing is only opened by doing the crucible and getting enough of a resources to buy it, and the crucible is just difficult enough you will need a max level and a mostly complete build in the first place. But all that is supposedly going to be changed and all previous progress wiped out when the 1.0 version is released.
>>740299153>>740299437So, it's worth a grab if I like the combat of souls games and the endless loot drops of ARPGs?
>>740299437>Biggest issue is that right now it is hyper specialized for buildsI just hope they will ditch the level cap, this shit doesn't fly in soulslikes.
>>740299153Honestly, this nigga summed it up so well, there's nothing much more to add than it runs really well on my crappy laptop, but others have reported issues with crashes and performance.I bought it to Co op with my mate, cos we are really just grieving the cancellation of Deep Down, and any fantasy action game helps with the pain. And so far I've only played solo, and only done the first area in part. I love just exploring by climbing and jumping on shit. There's heaps to find and see.
>>740299531Yes. Just do mind that it has an isometric perspective.
>>740297991all you do in this game is die to fall damagefalling is more dangerous than any boss
>>740299153Mostly this, it's fun game with nice artstyle, fun combat and exploration. But then it also have needless bullshit like that guy said, not only it's wast of our time it take dev time and resources from important things>You finished that fight ? good now don't forget to chop trees mine some rocks>Damn sugga that's a wrong type of wood. Well once you get it right you can wait 5 real time hours to finish city upgrade
>>740302519Which is also true IRL.>sword fight with a gigantic dudeVs>jump off a 50ft tower. Bravo devs. That's actually a great nod to realism. You could potentially survive even a grizzly attack, but you ain't surviving a drop like that.
the girls look cute I want to cum on their faces
>>740302519This goes to enemies too, the shoulder tackle you get in heavy armor can actually murder foes.
>>740297991Last I played it the loot and collect 10 bear asses quests ruined it, it's like a single player mmo with isometric souls combat (action commital/whiff punishing, nothing special) so unless they fixed it I'm not in a rush
>>740303891I was pretty surprised when the game let me shoulder tackle some giant mid boss into the water killing him instantly.Too bad going heavy is still shit for actual bosses.
>>740299153they removed the timer bullshit relatively recently, buildings get upgraded as soon as you deposit the materials
>>740297991It is absolutely awesome. Wait for 1.0 now because they are changing almost everything and adding a class system.
