I figure there is DLC but it'll be BBI style instead of an engoodening of the base game. Mods will use new enemies and add them to the map but otherwise the same old issues will remain.

Okami 2 is far too early in development, so I would imagine Capcom is just looking at focusing on DLC support for existing titles until the next gen dev kits are available.We know for a fact that Capcom is going to be at Summer Games Fest, at the very least to reveal the MH Wilds expansion, and we also know that they have DLC plans for RE9 too. I could see Capcom at the current period of their marketing and hype cycle for this gen using their time slot to announce their suite of DLC for existing titles, and then announcing their Capcom spotlight later this month for a deeper dive into all of it. The teaser pic for the 2nd anniversary was too on the nose for me to believe it was just a mistake by the editor. I trust the plan, the only question to me at this point is just what stream they plan to formally announce it, and how much more of a wait afterwards. (Following that weird steamDB update they did with a DD2 client that was like 12 GB larger than the game right now that was scrubbed after 30 minutes, I wonder if they're planning a launch shortly after the reveal)
