The sole profitable quarter they've had in the past twenty five years was when Halo 2 launched. Everything in the 360 era lost money, even the fuck huge launches of CoD or Halo 3 were eaten up by red ring returns, R&D on Kinect and continued costs of staffing and funding their partner studios. The reason they're so anemic today is because with the Xbox One that model died. They need to go back to being willing to set a tiny chunk of Microsoft's trillions on fire if they want back in.
