Thanks for making the thread, I've missed those.
Anyway, bit of a blogpost, but whatever. I currently have 4 arcade sticks and a hitbox. Chalk it up to stupid consumerism, but I like those things. Picrel is my most recent purchase and it pretty much mogs everything else I have. I've started with a Razer Atrox, then got a TES+ and a Venom stick that pretty much had all kinds of levers and buttons in it.
>Sanwa being the standard
It's ok, probably best ever, if you are used to it.
>Hitbox
It's just a keyboard, only bigger keys. Same inherent flaws, your wrists and fingers will suffer, less intuitive to program that muscle-memory.
>Korean Levers
They kinds of intuitively guide you into some execution tech, but ultimately, I found that the stiffness of the grommets makes 2D games harder and in Tekken... well fuck Tekken really, it's not easier, just new and sort of works, but you can do that on a Jap stick just as well and honestly, K-levers feel like a meme and it's shockingly obvious once you play VF with them.
>Newer Sanwa like JLX
Feels smoother, but ultimately lacks in tactility, an upgrade from JLF but minimal.
>Hori Hayabusa
Folks claim it's too loose - lies. It has a bit more throw in the diagonals and that's it. Smoother than Sanwa and more tactile. Also no rebound input, like you can see on some YT tests, so they've probably refined it. Button supposedly being too sensitive I find is no longer the case, I've used them a few years ago and they felt like it, but the ones on the Alpha feel tactile and precise, no issue, no way to accidentally register an input. Noir layout is fucking awesome.

Anyway, I love the lever and buttons, not so much the way you open it and deal with the cable. Feels a bit bit, but very comfy to grab and pickup. For some reason, I play more thoughtfully with it and win more rounds.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I didnt like the default stick so I went with a JLX-TP-8YT, and they didnt have the topper I really wanted so went with the only other non ball type red I could find on that site.

>hitbox
>your wrists and fingers will suffer
utter retard. it has way less impact versus gripping a controller or throwing a stick

>office workers and programmers typing on keyboards all day suffer from corporal tunnel
>keyboard-like controller supposedly has way less impact than something that has you rest your wrists vertically or a controller designed around ergonomic grip where you just use thumbs
You're the retard and deserve what's coming to you in a few years. Better start saving money for that surgery fucking shill.

>corporal tunnel
they get carpal tunnel from gripping the mouse, retard. it's also specifically from palm gripping one and having the wrist constantly sagging on the desk/mat surface

>gripping the mouse
It's obvious to anyone even barely familiar with the issue, that you have zero fucking idea what you are talking about. Here's your fucking (you) and choke on it.
