I have, and best way I can describe it is that it's a good anime game, which means it's a mediocre regular game. Vehicles are it's strong point, fairly repetitive and samey at times, and the field quips repeating every couple of minutes gets really annoying really fast. You'll hear the same lines repeated every couple of minutes.

I agree with >>740314593 and would say 50% isn't enough of a discount.

jrpg with linear upgrades

play for the story and don't waste to much time farming

Is it cutscene heavy? i am really not a fan of movie games
>>
>>740314593
Adding to this, there are also a bunch of on-foot 'stealth' sections that are agonizing to play. The non-vehicle parts feel completely tacked on and pointless.
>>
>>740313272
I wanted to like it, but it feels so unfinished. Played it for free and felt like I wasted time. It was super easy and felt like it was geared towards kids. The vehicle combat sounds and feels pretty good.
>>
Nope, but it's next on my list to get
>>
I heard that it had shader compilation stutter and so skipped it

you can force dx11

About standard for any JRPGs. Some lengthier ones at major plot points, and smaller ones dotted throughout, though I am including those in-game chatbox ones as cutscenes.
But as some of the others said, there are some mandatory stealth sections, but they're fairly easy and forgiving, on-foot combat is lackluster, and the vehicle combat is the main beef of the game. Though it's also a fairly easy game because it's aimed at kids and younger teens.
Essentially a $20 bargain bin game that isn't as shit as the others you'd find in there, but I don't think Bamco has been known for giving generous discounts.
>>
I normally hate open world games, but the vehicle combat was enough to get me to finish it. I liked the field conversations while driving, I enjoyed the desert driving. Having different vehicles with different speeds really made a difference. The races were fine, exploring ruins was cool. Vehicle customization was solid. Weapons, paint jobs, decals.
I should buy it.

It plays like a game for people who have never touched a videogame before. Not quite an interactive movie but handholding up the ass. The atmosphere was good. Its like a game where they expected a baby or 50-60 yearold to play it.

If it's so easy how come it has so many cheevs that are in the 1%, usually only hard games have stats like this

To compare here is the latest resident evil which has limited gimped runs in the 20%
>>
>>740317641
Because it's all just collecting a billion Open World Trinkets. Even the most self-loathing cheevo hunters ignore that slop.
>>
>>740317641
Why finish it if you can do anything else

movie game for boomers, they don't spend time enjoying 100% of anything outside of the main story

>>740317641
>DUDE YOU HAVE TO SPEND 5000 HOURS COLLECTING SCRAP PARTS FROM EVERY SINGLE PIXEL OF THE MAP OR ELSE YOU'RE NOT A REAL GAMER!!!!!!

Achievements are such fucking cancer I hope that anon dies badly in front of his family and then they die too

Why do cheevs make posers seethe? does it remind them that they are just cazzies who never finish their games?
>>
>>740322379
It's because I lived before they existed and saw how bad they completely fucking fried every subsequent generation's idea of how you're supposed to engage with games (for fun, not for muh e-dick points)
>>
>>740313272
Is it the full story of sand land? Or is it just like, some gay micro arc where nothing happens?
>>
There is LITERALLY no way to fix the industry without just removing achievements from the environment entirely but it's never going to happen so things will only get increasingly lowest common denominator year over year over year
>>
>>740313272
usual anime game bullshit
has 5 hours of good content and 30 hours of padding
>>
>>740313820
if you had 10% of akira toriyama's talent, people would pay more attention to your dog shit game.

Because repetition and collectathons are cancerous. Neglecting the arena means your doing over 50 matches in a row, some of the others are near end game or post game and might go unnoticed. Some are fucking pointless like decorating your room with 100 items when the whole room thing serves no purpose whatsoever and feels like this weird tacked on afterthought that went no where.
Even the achievement for beating the game is 17.9% so maybe that's more of a testimony about how mediocre the game is, especially for it's length.
>>
>>740322379
People like you used to be crucified for admitting you liked achievements.
>>
>>740323123
Yet you did all of them, if it's not fun why did you do all of that? the logic here doesn't compute
>>
>>740323750
Guess I felt compelled to do it when I heard Toriyama died. As much as I like DB and DBZ, I'm not a big fan of fighting games and there's only a handful of non-fighting DB games.
>>
>>740313272
If I had paid real money for it I would have refunded it. I know Japanese games consistently have a problem with the opening few hours being really slow before it finally starts to open up and becomes enjoyable. Those first few hours made me not want to ever return to the game.

>I'm not a big fan of fighting games and there's only a handful of non-fighting DB games.
There is Kakarot, it's 50/50 though, not sure about the bazilion amount of DLCs it has
>>
>>740313272
it's like a realtime Metal Max with Dragon Quest art design. I loved it, but I can see why people who don't have my particular form of tism wouldn't.
>>
I did all the cheevos and they're absolute cancer
The hidden sub quests, the arena and the collectibles make this game a nightmare if you like to 100% games
>>
>>740324278
Ya, that was the only one on Steam I could think of besides that asymmetrical 4v1 that I didn't have much interest in either. The others were older games on other platforms like on the 3DS.
Was always hoping for a JRPG or adeventure action game set in the original DB universe to hit Steam, but Sand Land was the next best thing.
