A few made it onto the 3DO but those are the generally the worst versions. There's a few interesting PS2 titles as well but they're buried in a sea of stock/featureless/flavorless mahjong titles that aren't really offering anything. Love*Mahjong! got a fan patch recently - the sequel is a much better game though...For something a bit more recent : PS4 actually got an exclusive in Two Jong Cell! but you never hear about it because it was Japan exclusive and locked to PS4 Digital. PS3 also has Mahjong Dream C Club. I do not know if either of these are actually "good" games but they do at least have effort invested in their production.

I've made it to adept 3 and stopped playing maybe 2 years ago. I just felt like I wasn't progressing any farther in my game.The rare hands are so rare they are hard to memorize. If another player discarded a tile, and he riichis, you can discard that tile. The tile will even be grayed out by the UI. It's a general rule. That's how the rule looks from the perspective of the opponent. From that rule, you apply it to when you're the one trying to get a winning hand, it's furiten.
