All I want is a Kid Icarus Uprising remaster. It alone would sustain me for an entire console generation. But Uprising only gets ported when someone at Nintendo cares enough about it to begin work on a port, and Sakurai is probably the only one who remembers that game. And it's not like he ever decides what games he works on, he's apparently happy just doing whatever they tell him to do. The only thing I really need is the Ocarina of Time Remake. If the trailer starts and the game is bigger and more detailed than your average Xenoblade I'll shit my pants.
That being said, it would be nice to see Kid Icarus Uprising HD/2, new Punch-Out and some older franchises getting a revival, especially stuff like Wave Race.

Nintendo has already written off the Switch 2 as a mistake. It's simply not a sustainable platform between its higher specs, tariffs, and the PC part crunch the AI sloppers have subjected us to.
They're in the process of moving their Switch 2 projects back to the Switch, having to downscale many of them as a result. The Switch 2 will be quietly phased out in favor of continuing support for the Switch for another few years.

For how much further Nintendo is trying to push Mario as a childhood brand these days, falling behind in new mainline material for multimedia releases to draw from is a baffling lapse in brand synergy. 3D Mario's not the only Nintendo IP suffering from their horrible devtimes and priorities of course, but it's probably the most surprising example given that it's their mascot IP. Say what you will about Pokémon - they at least remembered to keep the games coming at a consistent rate, because even if the merch brings in more money, they still need games to keep providing new material for that merch.

They all basically feel like $70 12 hour long tutorials that you shut your brain off for and the game just ends without testing you on anything. They're extremely unsatisfying. Like sm64 doesn't hold your hand for shit, it's not a hard game at all, but it let's you do whatever you want without shoving constant gimmicks in your face every 2 seconds. Nintendo doesn't make games like that any more. These games aren't even for kids, because if they were they'd be challenging. They make games for burnt out milennials that just want digital heroin.
