Mother 1 has the best plot and setting in my opinion. Despite 2 having a lot more dialog and cutscenes, it still has way less storytelling with Giygas just being an ambiguous force of nature rather than an actual character.

The dungeons were well designed with simple puzzles. I like the battle system, even if you only have Ninten for most of it (can't really be helped since that is how Mother was structed.) I feel like the game is overwritten. Even in Mother 3, there isn't that much dialogue compared many other rpgs, even when you have a full party. I feel like you are supposed to use your imagination and I think this game missing when it comes to feeling like Mother writing.
For Encore I wish Pippi was as strong as she was in 1. They also should've let you keep her for a bit longerAlso I hope they do some balance tweaks. I've tried to use the Defense/Offense Up, but they hardly raise your stats at all so its better not to bother.
