I've been a Bethesda fan for a long while and I've found I'd say I experience similar enjoyment from 4X, survival crafting, and Metroidvanias. 4X because they also function as a sort of roleplaying sandbox with how you build your empire. Survival crafting because they're a chill resource grind. And Metroidvanias because of the emphasis on map exploration.

ImmSims feel similar moment-to-moment but in practice almost every ImmSim is a hardcore stealth game whereas the only hardcore stealth segment in a Bethesda games is near the end of the Ryujin questline in Starfield.
