JRPG with long battle start and end cutscenes, unskippable.
Attack animations that are several seconds long, also unskippable.
Branching paths with loot that you can't return to if you pick incorrectly, the paths are also randomized every time you reload so there's a chance you get the wrong path several times.
Enemies that lower your stats permanently, no way to get them back. Possibility of getting softlocked.

Pay to win idle game.
Is that not most mobile slop?
>>
Your inventory only has space for 30 items.

There are three different denominations of currency, and each one occupies a different inventory slot.

Mission objectives will frequently give you an important quest item that must be held until you finish the quest, which also takes up an inventory slot.

You cannot "drop" items, only "throw them away" or "use" them.

Buying things in this game requires exact change in the correct currency type, and you have to manually select which currency to use in your inventory. The trade window also has a separate button for "give money" and "take goods" and if you forget to press both you can potentially close the window without receiving your goods, or without paying. In the case of the latter, you're outlawed from the settlement until you pay a fine equal to the value of the stolen goods, plus the goods are confiscated if you still have them. If not, you're charged double.

Equipment occupies inventory slots even while in use. It also has durability and can't be repaired.

There is crafting, but you can't craft anything actually useful, like healing items or ammunition for your ranged weapons, only weapons and armor which are always below your current level and useless to you. They also sell for less money than the materials used to make them.

All healing items heal for a fixed amount that scale in increments of 5 hp. This means there are dozens of variants of healing items that vary in quality, and they are not organized in any logical way in a merchant's shop.

There will be a boss where you are forced to take an NPC along to fight him, and if the NPC dies you immediately lose the fight. The NPC will suicidally charge the boss at the start of the fight UNLESS you give him a ranged weapon before entering the boss fight. The game doesn't prompt you to do this, and giving NPCs weapons is never mentioned or prompted anywhere before this and you would have no way to know it was even possible, much less carry a spare weapon.

Progress is tied to getting achievements, and by that I mean unless you get certain cheevos, you can't even progress to the credits.

Raytracing and DLSS is mandatory, turning them off with just make the game a slide show with untextured polygons.

The game auto-saves randomly.

It is possible to soft-lock your progress because of the auto-save.

Enemies frequently use consumable items and wield enchanted weapons but rarely drop either. The most common loot from fallen enemies is crafting materials and low amounts of currency.

NPC dialogue appears on the screen very slowly, in an animated fashion, so you cannot read ahead.

Every dialogue contains a "would you like me to repeat that?" option which the "next" button will trigger. You have to manually select the "no thanks" option to end the dialogue.

The camera will change perspectives based on what the developer thought would make the scene look better, and this will change your movement controls to correspond to the new viewpoint. You cannot change the viewpoint manually.

There are only 4 enemy varieties in the entire game, they just come in different colors and sizes.

Difficulty = bigger HP pools and more one-hit kill attacks from bosses.

Due to limited budget, bosses have extremely limited animations and most attacks aren't telegraphed.

Every merchant has multiple lines of unskippable dialogue before you can trade with them.

The map is divided into two main areas separated by an extremely long linear dungeon that is basically a giant sewer level with endless waves of boring enemies that have no worthwhile loot. You are forced to traverse this linear dungeon several times throughout the game.

You have a stamina bar for sprinting which is also used for attacking and blocking in combat. Stamina recovers very slowly in combat, so it's better to replenish it with consumables. Stamina-restoring consumables are the rarest type, and most merchants don't sell them.

Going into water will kill you if you go too far. The game doesn't warn you about this and it's not about the depth of the water, it's about how far you are from where the dev decided "dry land" is.

You can jump barely an inch. The game has platforming segments.

We can make it even more of a fuck you. Make it some types of currency are outlawed in some settlements and it's not always readily apparent which settlements they are. If you try to use said outlawed currency the vendor will report you to the authories and they'll seize all of that particular currency from you plus they'll fine you the equivalent of that currency in whatever currency they use. In more corrupt settlements they'll just straight up lie about the value of the currency and just insist they need to take all the money you're carrying to cover the fine
Also, shir let's take shit a bit further. Some enemies drop counterfeit money and if you try to pay for goods with counterfeit money you'll be wanted as well. You've got to examine every single bit of currency you pick up to make sure they're legit.

Several areas are inaccessible if you don't have the DLC, but there is no way to know this until you try to walk into a zone you don't have access to. If you do this, it will open the game's launcher in a separate window, stealing screen focus in the process. It doesn't add the DLC automatically to your cart, or even tell you which DLC it is.

DLC for the game is frequently sold in bundles, with several bundles overlapping in which DLC they have, and each one offering slightly different discounts for their bundles. The bundles also have confusing names that don't tell you much about what they contain.

Some DLC are only available in bundles that come with many other DLC that are totally unrelated to it.

A new game starts with back to back unskippable cinematic cut scenes that contain uncompressed media using proprietary codecs that have to be installed separately or the cinematics will stutter horribly as they play.

Character customization contains only 3 skin tones: brown, dark brown, and light brown, but over 200 hair styles, each uglier than the last, which you are forced to switch through one at a time. You won't even see your character's hair because you'll have a helmet or hat on most of the time, including at the start of the game since you get a hat by default.

They only hired 6 voice actors for the whole game, but only some characters are voiced. There's no way to tell which ones will be voiced, some bosses don't have voice lines, while most of the random NPCs in the first settlement are fully voiced.

Strange, ill-fitting stock sound effects are used throughout the game, which frequently break immersion and concentration.

You acquire an animal companion at some point and are forced to interact with them regularly or they will grow unhappy and leave. This animal companion is the secret to defeating the final boss, but you have no way to know this since it only becomes apparent at the end of the game.

Man, this would be so cool if it was done correctly. It'd need to be a certain type of game, like where you could shove the NPC out of the way, juggle them, body block to protect them, etc.

Also add some beaucratic bullshit to the counterfeit money mechanic. Basically if you get caught while wanted for trying to use counterfeit money the guard who caught you will take all the money you're carrying to verify that you're not carrying any more counterfeits. To get your money back you have to travel to a specific town or city after a certain amount of time passes. When you get there, there's a chance that you'll just be told that it turned out all the money you were carrying was fake so they had to destroy it all (even if it's not). Also if that event triggers all the guards in the region will suddenly be carrying much more powerful equipment.

The Forever Winter did this, killing your entire base if you ran out of water and tracking it even when you weren't playing. The devs eventually patched out that part of the mechanic and only made it tick down while playing, due to mass player backlash and people ragequitting the game permanently when they came back after a long break to find their progress wiped

Let me try:
The protagonist is a queer woman of color
The supporting cast are unlikable circus freaks
The villain is a chud strawman straight white man
Quirk chungus millennial writing that bombards you with multiple jokes every minute and none of them land
Stuttery H1B Unreal Engine 5 code
Trivial, pointless puzzles that get instantly spoiled by companions
Takes more than 100gb on your disk
Extremely revolting, truly hideous character designs to please HR ladies, consultancy racket and pump up ESG score.
Long, unskippable cutscenes with mind numbing retarded dialogue. In fact most of the "game" is a pseudo-interactive cutscene where you are expected to press a button once every five minutes to proceed to the next stupid dialogue
Not veiled-at-all references to Trump and modern day American politics, coupled with the most dimwit redditor takes on complex issues
Bonus:
Funded by an EU diversity grant, at the expense of taxpayer.
