I recently read this manga.
I loathe romcoms but I liked the first chapter enough to stick to the end.

The author really loved the alien girl; why didn't he made her the MC instead? He didn't like to make chapters about vampire girl while making a million chapters about alien girl.

I get the impression that half way through he got bored of the bland vanilla personalities he gave the main couple and started pivoting the focus to all the supporting cast. Near the end her and the MC are pretty much background characters with the majority of the chapters being about everybody else.

The author had a premise outside of the main couple's romance so he could have them get together early. The problem was it was about keeping her secret so he had to lean elsewhere until later towards the end.
