Half the scary part of the original was that you were contained in the narrow hallways and rooms of a space station with nowhere to go. Open world colony would just ruin the atmosphere immediately.

I liked the first game a lot but it was like 5 missions too long where even if you're a complete brainlet you start figuring out exactly what the AI is doing
