All of these game are widely available on multiple platforms and still look and play somewhere between good and great, zoomers trying re1 remake will say it plays bad but fuck them. VC is the hardest of the classic mainline titles to play, with no pc port. RE5 is available on everything switch,ps5,xbox and pc. It will probably get a remake one day but it doesn't need one more 1 or 0.

The original resident Evil remake happened because Capcom was trying to smoother over relations with Nintendo due to abandoning them for Sony in the PS1 era. RE1 and RE0 were Capcom's apology, followed by RE4 as being part of the Capcom 5. In the modern remake sense... people avoidance it because of its pre-rendered visuals and tank controls. Not having the origin story of Resident Evil match up to the characters/ plot direction of the current RE2R, RE3R, TR4R, RE:V , etc is a deterrence from new players picking it up. They would have to do a second remake in a third person style to bring it up to speed with current Chris Redfield character development. I think it will happen before an RE5 ever will. Honestly... does Capcom want to touch RE5 right now, or devote resources to remaking it? Or is Veronica the reboot series RE5?
