everyone is ignoring the actual best trailer of the show...
>>
Underrated post

more burnout than pod racing so i might play it. it would be nice if you could scan a irl car with your phone and it just appears ingame

Looks like a kids game.

Like, is allright but I don't really care about racing games.
>>
Unleashed has been sitting in my backlog forever. I really got to get around to playing it and Unleashed 2 before thinking about this.
>>
>>740384720
Nobody cares about arcadey racers these days
>>
>>740385863
you're gay, we know
>>
>>740385242
And that's a good thing. We need more bright colors and loop de looping across giant snakes and jumping through the mouth of dinosaur skulls and dodging building chunks dropped by king kong in games.

We need LESS of the same fucking "badass woman with a sword in generic fantasy setting" that made several dozen of the other "serious" trailers shown absolutely blend into each other. I wish the industry would target ACTUAL boys instead of sõyboys. The kind of boys who like cool things like fast cars with big engines and swamp monsters and dinosaurs.

Why...

NOT?!?!?
>>
>>740386998
I only play mature games for mature gamers like me.
>>
>>740384720
I was always a Matchbox kid.
>>
>>740384720
Open world racing games are gay. I want to race, not free roam a parking lot. Galactic Racers trailer shit all over this. Looks like Motorstorm in space.
>>
>>740387117
I'd say we put too much emphasis on fluff
A graphically impressive racing game would attract vastly more players than a Hotwheels game even if the latter was more fun
>>
>>740387276
Did you ever play with Micro Machines? I loved those as a kid.
>>
>>740387276
so you were basically predestined to be gay. sorry to hear that anon
>>
>>740387374
Yes, and they were the most wronged of any miniature car. Hasbro did them dirty, and the reboot did them worse.
>>740387408
Hot Wheels was still fine, just I preferred Matchbox. I am of course mostly referring to Matchbox pre-2003 before it became more or less another version of Hot Wheels.
>>
>>740384720
Look into Unleashed 1 & 2, Monster Trucks, and Ultimate Speed, if you haven't already for Hot Wheels games.

>it would be nice if you could scan a irl car with your phone and it just appears ingame
Fuck no. I assume you're talking about Micro Machines not like an actual car-car, but you know exactly what will happen.
>will probably have some NFC tag or some requirement so you can't just go to eBay and point your camera at the screen
>only compatible line of cars released IRL as part of in-game tie-in, all of their in-game counterparts have the best stats but you'll never be able to buy because they get scalped
>all the most interesting cars you already have aren't in the game and will never be

Even if they introduced a way to add your existing cars in-game it's just tedious busywork
>>
>>740384720
Yeah it looks like a solid arcade style racing game looking forward to this one. Hot Wheels I think released another game years back but didn't check it out though, not sure if it was any good?
>>
>>740384720
i agree

i have cinematic games fatigue, give me some FUN instead
