I don't think the 007 dying light game is a success.
>>
>>740384914
It's probably is not successful enough, considering it's a licensed game
>>
>>740384914
It’s honestly funny how quickly the hype around this game died. Like it’s been just over a week and people have already moved on. RE9 had longer staying power than this. FL is just so generic that there’s nothing noteworthy about it.
>>
>>740384914
chuds win again
>>
>>740384914
They just announced 2.7m sold so those estimates were pretty far off
>>
He looks lame, and the obvious marketing push during the first week was so overly aggressive it made me lose interest
>>
>>740385265
It never had hype. It was just plastered everywhere and taking up attention because of sheer ubiquity. It was plastered on the first page of Amazon when I went to buy some drano.
>>
>>740385265
There was no hype. The threads for this game were some of the least organic ones I've ever seen, it was wall to wall press shots with "whoa I can't believe how beautiful this game looks..." jeet posts. I feel bad for anyone who got scammed into playing it, it's just a really crappy uncharted clone.
>>
It's a really bad game, to be honest. Lots of anti fun mechanics like not being allowed to use your gun until the game says so, the driving sequences all being beatable with 1 button, the dialogue being meh, the set pieces, the melee combat, etc.

I have zero interest in a 007 game, let alone one that removes all of the elements that made 007 popular in the first place. I still managed to encounter the game left and right due to the insanely aggressive and obnoxious level of marketing. No one gives a fuck about 007. Especially not a dweeby looking one. What a waste of money.

2 million in first week is pretty good
And more people will buy the game as more updates come out
Probably will be profitable by the end of this year

>>740384914
>free upgrade to the golden skin "deluxe edition" if you preorder
>just preorder the game please
>>740385265
there's nothing to talk about
>wow, webb is a retarded faggot with chatgpt
>he dies in a cutscene
>every mission except mauritania bazaar plays out the exact same for everyone
>did you clear the action corridor #15 with the Overpowered tactical nuclear ballpen, point and click headshots, or timestop assrape?
>I sure s〇ypogged at the epic car chase that's impossible to fail
>pushing rope-tier forced waifufaggotry at the Hitman WoA background crowd NPC women.
>>740387743
>antis
This isn't a lolicoon game, what are you on about
>>
>>740389561
>plays out the exact same
but anon, did you distract enemy #54 with the poison dart or with the camera flash?
I guess it would be less of an issue if the devs themselves weren't known for making games with a lot of possible approaches and claimed themselves that they allow players to solve the situation differently. they actually do, but it does not feel meaningful.
note that this is not an issue in a game like half-life 2 for some reason.

>did you distract enemy #54 with the poison dart or with the camera flash?
I crouched behind him and pressed square to unpack a STEALTH TAKEDOWN and replenish my Bond Instinct™
You shiould've seen my face when I saw the takedown animaiton for the 128th time

Dev that is famous for freeform assassination sandboxes with timeless and memorable level design for quarter of a century tries to make uncharted 2, their forte is nowhere to be seen while the spectacle that you'd expect from a AAA bond licensed moviegame have is lacking as well.
Absolution at least had visuals going for it even if it had a retarded story and abysmal gameplay.
I was hoping for Alpha Protocol, but with gameplay comparable to Hitman and Bond licensing.
I had more "cinematic" and exciting fights in SUPERHOT

>James Bond is a cuck who gets constantly mocked through the game by his diverse instructors
>Didn't even come up with his catchphrases himself
>Ironically the one catchphrase he canonically took from Silvia Trench is here for some reason
>No license to kill so you have to go around being a pussy
>No sandbox
>Enemy AI is so retarded you can make an excuse for why you're in a restricted area with some Bond points and they'll let you through for 20 seconds, enough to go even deeper and lose their FoV
>You can lockpick and do suspicious shit right in front of anyone and nobody bats an eye
>The hot asian chick only appears for one mission and the "real" Bond girl is a superspy that's better than Bond at everything and saves his ass constantly
>The bad guys are all white British men while the "good" guys are all heckin' diverse women and faggots (yes, Q is canonically a gay jew in this game)
>No interactivity
>Forced Uncharted scenes nobody wanted
>Fake quick time events that just loop forever
>No British culture anywhere
>Two only good white men in the game are you bully friend who gets killed off offscreen and a player who black Moneypenny mocks and who gets kidnapped later on and fights you for no reason before getting killed
>Bond's tutor is some black dude who does all the work while Bond is an useless tool
>Bond's real backstory of being a high-ranking naval officer is replaced with him being a mookish helicopter pilot who only got into MI6 out of pity
>Aston Martin only appears at the end of the game for one minute in a single scene, has annoying AI waifu voice for some reason
>No connections to the actual movies or books
>No fun
They call this game 007: 0 entertainment, 0 badass Bond scenes, 7(0) straight hours of humiliation rituals.

Please buy the deluxe edition for EXCLUSIVE, EXPLOSIVE Aston Martin Valkyrie Missions!

Lmao I forgot to mention the insane amount of sponsors this fucking game has
Literally everything is sponsored, from the cars to the chairs to the PCs to the doors to billboards
Most commercial bullshit imaginable, it's insane
>>
>>740385265
I think it is more hilarious how they tried to drum up hype for it by trying to frame people as upset the game wasn't woke enough. Yeah, smarmy James who gets upstaged by the DEI cast at every turn and has to be saved constantly as he is treated like a fuck up is just too much of a chud game.
>>
>>740391683
name me the car sponsors because range rovers and aston martins probably got paid so they could license their use
>>
>>740391683
While an Omega watch and aston Martin have been around in bond for a long time
>LANDROVER® that Cannot crash it or run over an african pirate with an AK

feel extremely pedestrian,
Guns don't have licenses either.

I played it and liked. I'd buy a sequel in a few years.
I also fully understand why the sales are underwhelming. A linear third-person shooter with significant non-action segments is not what modern audiences want.
The remaining audience for games like this is unfortunately small, expect sales to top out at around 4 million or so in a few years. Mafia The Old Country is in the same market and did well because it kept its budget in check. Spending this kind of money on a Bond game simply isn't sustainable.

Yeah this game sucks, every level is basically 'walk around this large area, listen to a conversation so you can get past a guard, then more walking around, with 30 seconds of using your gun at the end'

I'm currently on that level where you walk around the Webb offices with Greenaway, and it's genuinely one of the most boring levels of a game I've ever played, literal walking simulator.

I just want the game to be over at this point, though it feels like the game hasn't even started, every level feels like a tutorial.
>>
>>740391223
>Forced Uncharted
lol
>>
>>740392762
You got baited into playing it, you've already seen everything it has to offer. The "payoff" will just make you groan.
>>
there are bump limit threads every single day
hilarious that the culture warriors are still trying to use this game as a prop

fake 007 fans everywhere
>>
>>740385265
RE9 lost 80% of its playerbase after a week too.

It's almost like they're singleplayer games, people finish them and stop playing. Crazy, i know.
>>
>>740384914
Not that it really matters
Amazon says that the game only got made because the deal was made before they bought the 007 IP
all future 007 games will come from their own internal sloppa game studios
>>
>>740395270
It is crazy, re games are meant to be replayed to mastery, most people don’t understand that.
>>
>>740384914
Nobody wants a 26 year old zoomer Bond hanging out with a gay q and bossed around by poojeta m.
Bond should be 35 at the youngest and 55 at the oldest. Ye, Connery war barely 31 when the first movie came out and Lazenby was 28, but there is a huge difference between a 28 year old in the 60s and a 28 year old in 2026.
>>
>>740385265
the game was barely even a game and culture war people were defending it and shitting on it for absolutely nothing to do with the gameplay.

In which universe 2.7 million copies in a week is not a success?
>>
>>740395535
Most people don't finish games once, let alone replay them.
RE are short enough that most players reach some end credits but the completion autism about redoing the same route ten times to get S+++ rank without using the zombie dildo is reserved for a very small minority of autistic players.

>In which universe 2.7 million copies in a week is not a success?
chud universe
>>
>>740396115
The fallacy here is that you pulled that 300 million out of your ass. Nobody knows for sure what the budget if that game was, but it definately wasn't 300 million dollars. It's being speculated that it's about 200 million or less.
>>
>>740396220
If it cost 200 million to make, the ad budget was at least a hundred million. How else do you think you're getting paid?
>>
>>740384914
there is not a world in which 150 million dollars is not an assload of revenue unless your development was a massive money laundering scheme in all honesty.
>>

Craig was bad enough but this fucker is just a zero
>>

I had fully intended to buy it but I removed it from my wishlist when I saw it had Denuvo DRM.
