Why did VR never fully take off?
Facebook killed VR with their crappy mobile headset and underhanded business tactics
>>740387938Devs didn't want to push vr to the limitsTry to make me vomit>>740387938
>>740387938Too expensive, few good games, bulky, restricted to about 5 genres of games, physically constricting.
>nobody buys vr since no one makes vr games>no one makes vr games since nobody buys vr
Remember when people were screaming VR ISN'T JUST A FAD?
>>740388453there are vr games being released on steam daily. no one talks about them, because no one has vr
>>740387938Its the wii but in your face.
>>740387938because I LIKE YOUR ASS
>>740388453>>740388831No one buys vr because it couldn't breach the normalfag ceiling. There is basically no good use for vr outside of a specific niche corner of videogames and it's too cumbersome for anything else. It's obvious that no one wants to spend hundreds or even thousands on an accessory for such specific uses.
>>740387938Until it's literally just a pair of glasses that just work without cable bullshit or fiddly programs and connections it will never work out. It's too heavy, cumbersome, annoying, and uncomfortable.
It will never ever take off until the headset can simply read my mind and turn that into actions.>Completely opens up the genres beyond interactive first person games>Bypasses the limiting factor of space for a lot of people>Motion sickness cured because your body isn't getting mixed motor signals>The porn will be next level
The only vr game that looked interesting to me was thrill of the fight but its dead and the 2nd one is some Facebook shit.
