What happened to it?
He found something shinier and moved on
>>740397136don't ask any question, just consoom the product
>>740397136Biggest slop fest of all time>yo sequels to all the games from the last couple years>chat exploding with chants for Destiny, Monster Hunter, remake of Resident Evil,
Why did most of the games look alike? Like spinny bright visual diarrhea jrpg bullshit.
>What happened to it?The industry stopped growing, there's no money left to be made in it so investors are packing their bags and heading for AI (which has already peaked too kek). Geoff's awkward opening with "MORE GAMES ARE RELEASED THIS YEAR THAN EVER!!!!" was damage control for the investors
>>740397537>still sequals and remakes> CV which is ass gets made because of X and being a die hard i have to have good hopes for itIt was a roller coaster of "that's cool", to "stop" with lackluster applause we heard late afternoon with the others. 1666 looked cool, and blood of the dawn walker was nothing that the first trailer didn't do with nothing more than a release date.
>>740397136just feels like a bunch of gay retards making games for even gayer retards
>>740397136>now
>nowAnon, vidya has always been for losers
>>740397136The losers took over
>>740397642That's why he brought that up, i was thinking that I didn't care. They're probably indie trash anyway. It's steam so that's obvious from the get go.
>>740397723When did that whole perception start? Arcades used to be huge along with consoles. I guess it's looked at like a lower level hobby, then it kind of makes sense. I didnt think it'd get to this point.
>>740397681It sucked that it seemed like he was teasing the return of Banjo Kazooie and Blinx, but it turned out it was just a remake of Resident Evil.
>>740397903CV is actually one of the worst RE games. It's sloppy as fuck and wasn't actually made by the RE team. The whole thing was outsourced. It was fucking X that did this.
A real hobby to me would be like art. Painting, sculpting. And music, learning an instrument, something physical. That's what id call real hobbies, vidya is nothing but entertainment. It doesn't really better you
>>740398037People pretend Code Veronica is underrated these days
>>740397136Time for your meds and to go to sleep grandpa
>>740397136Women were invited in
>>740397136we're back
I dunno, this was genuinely such a fucking lame event. Every single game looked the same, just this souless "realistic" shit with no identity. All I remember was Snoop Dogg getting on the stage after he smoked a bunch of weed and pretending he was aware of what the fuck was going on, that one racing game with a nigger being told that "some people are meant to be outlaws", the friendslop goose game that sounded like they hired english dub hentai actors for the ad and netease showing some game that looked and SOUNDED really gay and cringe but made a few sissies excited for some reason
>>740398390>Every single game looked the same, just this souless "realistic" shit with no identity.I'm not one to have these sentiments, but it was 100% true this time. I came into it late and skipped around to see what games had been shown and I shit you not, no exaggeration, it was really god damn hard to figure out where one game began and the other ended.
>>740398504Good to see im not the only one who sae that.
>>740397136What do you mean what happened to it, vidya spent the better part of 20-25 years being for losers. Moving outside of that and capturing a wider audience for more profit was the worst move the vidya industry ever made. You can trace gacha, mtx, Fortnite-ification, live service, 7+ year dev cycles etc to the point in the 360 generation when Xbox Live and ball/gun gaming brought millions of teenagers into the hobby and never let go.It's a shame that point was getting on for 18-20 years ago now, there are people old enough to post here who never knew the before times.
>>740397136>>740397179>>7403974423 or 4 possibly barely decent games.Rest is slop/not even good movies/straight up trash.
>>740397136What do you mean op?
